ISA - What the fuck?!!

Although I am busy working until not enough time to sleep, but I still want to write this post to express my dulan-ness.

What the fuck?!! Barisan Nasional government has detained 3 people with the notorious Internal Security Act (ISA), they are Raja Petra Kamaruddin, Sin Chew Daily journalist Tan Hoon Cheng and Teresa Kok.

ISA, such an out-dated and non-humanity law that still exists in Malaysia, and used to apply on the people that the Barisan Nasional government thinks threaten their ruling but not on the people that making racist statements.

Barisan Nasional seems never learnt anything from the 8th March General Election and Permatang Pauh By-Election. They didn’t try to improve themselves to rule this country better but keep playing dirty tricks around. Now Anwar Ibrahim already won the by-election and the date 16th September is getting closer, Barisan Nasional are like a dog being chased and beaten hardly, until the corner of walls, fighting with the last strength, fiercely but ugly.

More and more disappointments among the people, by the dirty tricks and brainless talks by the Barisan Nasional leaders, and now the people are angry, really hope Anwar Ibrahim could kick their asses.

No ISA

Now everyone please stay calm, just peaceful resistance, not to give chance to Barisan Nasional to detain more people under this stupid ISA.

Peace.

Protes Sejuta Rakyat Turun

Just back the people’s gathering organized by Protest. Named “Protes Sejuta Rakyat Turun”, the name kinda weird :-S Well this gathering was held to protest the petrol price hike which brings a lot of big problems to Malaysian.

Protest Sejuta Rakyat Turun, Kelana Jaya

Last few days road blocks were set up by police everywhere in Klang Valley. To avoid traffic jam and save petrol fuel, I took LRT to Kalana Jaya LRT station. From there I was not sure which bus to take to bring me to the Kelana Jaya Stadium, so after waiting at LRT station for 15 minutes, I decided to walk to the stadium.

After walking for around 30 minutes under the hot sun, finally I’ve reached Kelana Jaya Stadium at 3:30pm. When I reach there, it was middle of lion dance performance. Whole stadium was like in carnival, having stalls doing business outside of the stadium.

Lion dance performance in Protes

After the lion dance performance, I walked around the stalls, looking for Protes red t shirt (my shirt was very wet due to sweating). I didn’t manage to get a t shirt because most of the stalls had all red t shirts sold out. But then luckly I walked around the stadium and found a stall at behind of the stadium selling red t shirt, and I bought 1 XXL t shirts (which are the left over =.=) for RM15.

After changing my shirt, I went into stadium, and listened to few politician’s speech, like Mat Sabu, Tan Seng Giaw, Teng Chang Khim, Husam Musa, Abdul Khalid Ibrahim… And of course, Badrul Hisham and Ginie Lim too :D

After the speech, was the performance of the local punk rock band Carburetor Dung. I was standing beside the stage watching the band performance, I didn’t realize what happen, then suddenly I saw few guys jumped up to the stage and tried to stop the performance and pushed the vocalist from the stage, then I saw water bottles and rock thrown by the crowd to the stage. I thought the show was interrupted by police and the crowd tried to save the band. But I was wrong.

Alak was pulling away by Angkatan Pemuda Keadilan

During singing the song Jilat (lick), the vocalist Alak pulled down his pant to the crowd, intended to heighten the “satire”. However, this gesture was interpreted as disrespect gesture to Anwar Ibrahim, causing the crowd were anger and started to throwing mineral water bottles and rocks to the stage. Alak was whisked away by the PKR’s Angkatan Pemuda Keadilan. Hishamuddin Rais, the coordinator of the performance, took this responsibility and made emotional apologies to the crowd. After advices from the organizer, the situation was under control, and the organizer called a break for Maghrib prayers.

After the prayer, it was the beginning of the event’s climate. Important leaders from Pakatan Rakyat are going to appear at stadium, like Dr. Hatta Ramli, Nasir Hashim, Lim Kit Siang, Teresa Kok, Raja Petra Kamarudin, and the most waited Anwar Ibrahim.

I was standing behind the journalists, trying to get some nice photos. However, more and more people tried to squeeze in the little place too, and pushed me up to the stage. So I was quite near to the speech stage, enable me to get wonderful photos of the speakers.

Anwar Ibrahim

I left the stadium at 10:35pm, with another friend that I knew in the stadium, John, a retired Indian friend. We talked while walking to the Kelana Jaya LRT station, for 30 minutes. However when we reach the LRT station, the service already stopped and the station was closed down. It was very expected, so we have to take cab to the KL.

It was a tiring day.

This is the time…

Waited for few years, now this is the time to change! Mar 8 2008, the 12th Malaysian General Election!

vote-dap.jpg

Change, doesn’t mean make Barisan Rakyat as government, because there are still a lot of votes will go to Barisan Nasional (you know where are the votes from), new government will be led by Barisan Nasional as usual. But, I believe that the seats will not as many as 2004 General Election. This is a long revolution to build a real democratic country, and 2008 General Election is the starting point of this revolution. In a real democratic country, strong opposition parties can monitor the ruling parties effectively to ensure benefits of the people, or even take over the government if the rulling parties are not good enough, just like US, UK and Australia.

My district is Seputeh parliamentary seat (no state assemblies), so DAP is my only choice. You have my vote, Teresa :)

Liars

*Update Mar 4 2008*
See what Abdullah Badawi talked about his 2004 promises at The Star.

Every General Election, every party spends a lot of money on advertisements, posters, billboards… especially Barisan Nasional, with their sweet propagation and promises.

Now, before 12th Malaysian General Election, I would like to highlight the propagation and promises advertised at newspaper at 2004 General Election. In 2004, Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi was a new Prime Minister, his appearance has given new hopes to Malaysians, with his promises like fighting corruptions, reform the government to be more efficient and more transparent, reduce criminal cases, decrease the racial gap and live up harmony society, “I want to listen to truth”, “Not work for me, but work with me”, so on and so forth. MCA even described Abdullah Badawi as Bao Gong, a Chinese judge in Dynasty Song that famous with his high integrity and fairness.

Let’s have a look back these advertisements and his promises (in Chinese):
Bao Gong…?

Promises

4 years passed, how many promises that he had achieved?

  • Zakaria Mat Deros… He able to build a house that can be called palace, no one is checking him.
  • Someone who taking bribe still a minister but someone who reporting a bribe is being accused.
  • Khairy, his son-in-law, from time to time flaming up the issues between races, then he could have demonstration against Condoleezza Rice, and police automatically issue the gathering permit to him, but all demonstrations called up by non-government bodies were either banned, brutally dismissed or blamed with untrue facts, even at International Human Rights Day, demonstrators were charged in court because of organizing peaceful gathering, which is granted legally under constitution.
  • Hishammuddin, giving speech with his unfriendly gestures to non-Bumi races, but didn’t get any ISA actions, while people fight for their rights were detained under ISA.
  • MCA and MIC, can’t fight for the rights for their own people, while acting as slaves of UMNO, not dare to voice up any unjustified decisions and unproper statements made by UMNO.
  • I laughed out loud when the Zainuddin being interviewed by Al-Jazeera, his English make Malaysian ashame. I also very frustrated with his Information Ministry where controls the media and threaten them to cover Barisan Nasional’s bad stories with their annually renewed media permits.
  • More and more toll gates were built, why we still need to pay road tax?
  • The astronaut project, spent billions of ringgit that paid by us, what do we benefit from it?
  • Could you walk in midnight alone without fear of getting robbed or raped?
  • Could you leave your mobile phone or laptop in the car and go shopping without worry?
  • If you are from sin city Johor Baru, did you get snatched or robbed before?
  • During 2006 Johor flood, Abdullah Badawi didn’t stay in Malaysia stand by for the Rakyat, but went to Australia to launch a Nasi Kandar restaurant for his relatives.
  • And now they are spending our hard earn money to advertise them again, with senseless advertisements.

The Malaysian constitutions are getting challenged even worse after Abdullah Badawi took over, Lingam case, alteration of the constitution just to allow Abdul Rashid retire 1 year later. Abdul Rashid promised his SPR will run a fair and clean Election, but more and more phantom voters are discovered in passed few weeks, but no action was taken, another big liar.

This boy from Penang was passed away last year August. His family checked their own election detail, and they checked together for this boy:

with shocked, his family discovered that his IC has been assigned to a girl, from Puchong, named V.Nalynna Anak Perempuan Visvanathan. News from Nanyang.com
Phantom voter

Those are just a little portion of problems that appear under the administration of current government, google yourself for more, or visit here.

Barisan Nasional, is a government full with liars, corrupters, racists, chauvinist pigs, cowards, idiots… Do you still want them to be your government? It’s time to change.
